About the Image Brightness Adjuster

Quickly fix underexposed photos or tone down images that are too bright. The adjustment works like the CSS brightness() filter: every color channel is multiplied by the same factor, so hues stay true while the overall exposure changes.

How to use it

  1. Move the slider: positive values brighten, negative values darken.
  2. Choose the output format.
  3. Drop your images and download.

Good to know

  • Highlights that are already pure white cannot be recovered by darkening.
  • For flat-looking photos, combine a small brightness boost with the Contrast tool.

Frequently asked questions

Will brightening add noise?

It amplifies existing noise in dark areas. Moderate changes (±30%) usually look natural.

Can I process several photos with the same setting?

Yes. Drop them all at once; changing the slider re-processes the whole list.
