About the HEIC to JPG Converter
iPhones save photos as HEIC by default. The format is efficient, but Windows, many websites and older apps cannot open it. This converter decodes HEIC with a WebAssembly build of libheif and saves standard JPG files that work everywhere.
Because personal photos often contain sensitive moments and location data, all decoding happens locally — nothing is uploaded.
How to use it
- Choose the JPG quality.
- Select your .heic or .heif files (you can pick many at once).
- Download the JPGs one by one or as a ZIP.
Good to know
- The HEIC decoder (about 1 MB) loads the first time you convert a file.
- Live Photos and burst sequences are converted to a single still image.
- EXIF metadata such as GPS location is not carried over to the JPG.
