About the Find and Replace
Make bulk edits in any text: rename a product throughout a document, swap date formats, or clean exported data. Regular-expression mode supports capture groups, so you can rearrange matches — for example turning “Smith, John” into “John Smith”.
How to use it
- Paste your text.
- Enter what to find and the replacement.
- Toggle match case, whole words or regex; the replacement count is shown.
Good to know
- In regex mode, use $1, $2… to insert captured groups and $& for the whole match.
- Invalid regular expressions show an error instead of changing your text.
