About the Remove Extra Spaces

Copying from PDFs and web pages leaves double spaces, non-breaking spaces, tabs and ragged line ends. This cleaner collapses runs of spaces into one, trims each line and reduces stacks of blank lines to a single paragraph break.

How to use it

  1. Paste the messy text.
  2. Choose which clean-ups to apply.
  3. Copy the tidy result.

Good to know

  • Non-breaking spaces and other Unicode space characters are normalized too.
  • Indentation is removed when “Trim each line” is on; turn it off for code.

Frequently asked questions

Why does copied PDF text have strange spacing?

PDFs position words individually, so extraction often inserts extra spaces or line breaks.

Will it join broken lines into paragraphs?

No. It cleans spacing but keeps line breaks.
