About the Base64 Encoder
Base64 represents binary data as plain ASCII text so it can travel through JSON, email, URLs and HTTP headers. Encode text — with full Unicode support — or any file up to 25 MB, optionally as a data URI.
Your data is processed in the browser and never sent to a server, so it is safe to paste payloads that contain tokens or personal data.
How to use it
- Choose Text or File.
- Enter text or drop a file.
- Copy the Base64 output.
Good to know
- Base64 is an encoding, not encryption: anyone can decode it.
- Output is about 33% larger than the input.
