About the Markup Calculator

Retailers and contractors often price by marking up cost. Enter the cost and your markup percentage to get the selling price and profit, plus the equivalent margin so you can compare with industry benchmarks quoted as margins.

How to use it

  1. Enter the cost.
  2. Enter the markup percentage.
  3. Read price, profit and margin.

Good to know

  • Keystone pricing (100% markup) doubles the cost and yields a 50% margin.

Frequently asked questions

Markup formula?

Price = Cost × (1 + Markup/100).
