About the JPG to PNG Converter
PNG is a lossless format, which makes it the right choice when you need to edit an image repeatedly, add transparency later, or paste a screenshot into a design tool without further quality loss. This converter decodes your JPG with the browser's built-in image engine and re-encodes every pixel into a PNG file.
Conversion happens entirely on your device, so even large camera photos convert in a second or two and never touch our servers.
How to use it
- Choose one or more JPG files, or drag them onto the drop zone.
- Each image converts automatically — the list shows the new size and dimensions.
- Download files one by one or grab them all as a ZIP.
Good to know
- Converting to PNG cannot restore detail that JPEG compression already removed; it only prevents further loss.
- PNG files of photos are usually 3–6× larger than the JPG. That is expected for a lossless format.
- EXIF orientation is applied, so rotated phone photos come out the right way up. Other EXIF metadata is not copied.
