About the Clipboard Test
If copy buttons on websites don't work, the Clipboard API may be blocked by permissions, an insecure (HTTP) connection or browser limitations. Test writing to the clipboard, reading from it (with your permission) and a regular paste.
How to use it
- Click “Test copy” and paste somewhere to confirm.
- Click “Test paste” and allow access if asked.
- Read the results.
Good to know
- Firefox does not let web pages read clipboard text via the async API.
- Clipboard contents you read are shown only on this page.
